Members and guests are invited to the September 2007 General Meeting

Mr Lloyd Ellis
The Royal Children’s Hospital

First established in 2004, the 3D Centre is the first of its kind in Australia. The 3D images generated by the system enable specific measurements of the subject (or object) to be taken, such as volume and surface data information. The primary application for this system is medical, however many other disciplines are now using this technology for better outcomes.

The 3D centre is equipped with two systems – one 15 camera and one 6 camera system. Lloyd will demonstrate both systems, explaining the principles of the system, its applications and future prospects.

Lloyd Ellis is a Senior Medical Photographer at the Educational Resource Centre of The Royal Children’s Hospital. Lloyd is also the manager of The Batten Foundation 3D Imaging Centre. Lloyd has over 23 years experience as a photographic practitioner.
