Detlev Lueth
Assistant Director of Preservation

On a local level Detlev Lueth manages the preservation staff and programs and assist the director of the Melbourne office of the Archive. Detlev also assist with the management of our national preservation plans and projects conducting preservation training workshop for our federal government agencies and make preservation assessment of their collection holdings.

Detlev will start with a brief overview as to what the NAA does and what’s in our collection focusing on the photographic collection which is held at East Burwood and how we carry out different preservation techniques on this collection.
 
This will be followed by an overview into basic principles of good preservation. Both these things will give a good intro when we do the tour around the building focusing on the conservation and our preservation imaging section.

All members and guests will need to sign in and receive a security pass and will be escorted anywhere in the building.
