Members and guests are invited to the February 2007 General Meeting

Life in the Fast Lane

James Cowie
Scientific Imager
Dept. of Defence
Proof & Experimental Est., Graytown

The Proof and Experimental Establishment at Graytown provides for the proof, test and evaluation of ammunition and weapons systems for the Department of Defence.

James is the ‘Scientific Imager’ (Photographic Dogsbody) at P&EE Graytown and is responsible for all aspects of imaging, including still photography, video and high-speed video. The meeting will consist of a presentation about general aspects of the range and the role of the Scientific Imager. This will be followed by a tour of the imaging facilities and a small part of the range. Note: for safety and security reasons, there will be no live firings during the visit, however there will be plenty of images and video!

The meeting will be followed by a BBQ lunch, probably at a winery in Heathcote.

This date is now confirmed. Because of the rather cramped conditions, and security considerations, visitor numbers will be limited to 20. Please email
james.cowie@defence.gov.au to book a spot (first come, first served). Your booking will be confirmed by email and directions to Graytown will be sent by email in due course.
